Timetable
A new Amended Settlement Agreement was filed with the Court in February 2012, and the Court granted Preliminary Approval of the new Amended Settlement Agreement on March 8, 2012. All earlier deadlines had already been set aside by the Court.
The Court’s March 8, 2012 Preliminary Approval Order established the following dates relevant to the settlement:
- Deadline for Filing Motion for Attorneys’ Fees: April 13, 2012
- Deadline for Filing Motion for Final Approval: May 4, 2012
- Deadline for Filing Objections to Settlement: May 18, 2012
- Deadline for Filing Notice of Intention to Appear at the Final Approval Hearing: May 18, 2012
- Deadline for Filing Reply Briefs in Support of Final Approval and Attorneys' Fees: June 7, 2012
- Final Approval Hearing: June 28, 2012, at 2 PM
Updates
On July 5, 2012, the Court approved the Amended Class Action Settlement Agreement as fair, reasonable and adequate. The Final Judgment and Order is available for viewing on this website under Court Documents. The Interstate Batteries Settlement Program will continue to be implemented through March 15, 2021 according to the specific terms contained in the Amended Settlement Agreement.
